Most individuals who reply to this question will undoubtedly fall into one of two camps: ‘I honestly couldn’t care less about the Kardashians,’ or ‘[insert Kardashian family member] is the best, certainly!’

However, not Chan.
In reality, the 69-year-old had no idea they were a family.
During an interview with Access Hollywood to promote his 2017 film The Foreigner, the Karate Kid actor was questioned about reality TV stars, and the conversation quickly turned to the Kardashians.
“We’re going to have you name your favorite Kardashian,” they said. “Who do you like?”
The hosts plainly expected Chan to come up with a moniker, but instead were met with a puzzled stare.
“Kardashian?” he said. “What do you mean Kardashian?” I’m not sure. “Does that sound like English?”
The presenters quickly moved on after realizing Chan wasn’t ‘keeping up’ with the Kardashians, but fans weren’t so eager to let it go.
The video of Chan’s answer has just gone viral again after being uploaded on the Reddit thread r/MadeMeSmile, and many are still in awe of how fantastic it is.
After seeing the video, one user commented, “Just another reason to treasure this man,” while another added, “Best response ever.”
Many more commenters acknowledged being ‘jealous’ of Chan’s ignorance of the family, who have undoubtedly grown in popularity since his interview.
One viewer remarked, “I wish I could have this mindset where I don’t know a single Kardashian.”
Keeping Up With The Kardashians ended after 20 seasons in 2022, but their reality TV rule continues with the Disney+ series The Kardashians, in which they continue to give insights into their lives and relationships.
