Daniella Hines had a wonderful surprise when she gave birth to her son.

The doting mother, 40, gave birth to her son, Annan, on September 3 at St. Joseph Hospital-South in Riverview, Florida, weighing 13 pounds, 15 ounces, according to Today. According to the University of Rochester Medical Center, the typical weight of a newborn infant is around 7 pounds; therefore, Hines’ kid is nearly double that size.

Hines felt something different than she did when she gave birth to her elder son, Andre Jr., who weighed 12 pounds, 11 ounces.

“He was the talk of the maternity ward!” Hines, 40, informed the outlet. “I remember wondering, ‘What are they pulling out of me?'” What is happening here? I felt a lot of pressure.

After seeing the infant for the first time, the unusual emotion became more understandable to her.

“He was colossal. I was thinking, “Whose baby is this?” “He came out of me?” Hines told Today. Then everyone starts to gather because it is not every day that a nearly 14-pound baby is born. “He was like a small celebrity.”

Furthermore, she said, “I can’t wait to show him when he gets older: ‘Look, you were in the news!'”

The entrepreneur and her husband, Andre Sr., are both over 6 feet tall, which Hines believes contributed to her son’s stature.

With the child only a week old, his pleased mother told Today that he is a “really chill” baby.

Hines also told the newspaper that her kid gets agitated when he is hungry.

Overall, the mother is pleased to have welcomed her infant son into the family.

“We didn’t expect such a big blessing,” Hines told Today. “But it’s just more to love!”
