Internet users are amazed to hear that Shaquille O’Neal surprised a young wrestler who had difficulty getting to practice

Shaquille O’Neal demonstrated his tremendous kindness lately by surprising a young athlete with a brand-new automobile.

O’Neal, 53, said he was immediately pleased when he watched a few videos online of Tamara Humphries on the mat and wanted to contact her to see how he could help her dreams.

“So I called her parents,” he explained in an Instagram video.

Humphries, whose wrestling name is Firefly, told KDKA Radio that it was simply “a casual Tuesday” when the NBA icon contacted her and her parents.

“He said, ‘Hey, are you interested in sponsorships or anything like that? Can I contact your parents?” she recalled.

Humphries stated that she immediately informed her sister, and the two were “screaming for like five minutes straight” after O’Neal contacted them.

“He was asking, ‘What do you need? What’s holding you back right now?” Humphries shared.

She said she informed O’Neal she had recently taken the entire summer off from wrestling to work so she could afford a car to drive her to practice and competitions. “My mom was like, ‘My daughter has been working really hard to get a car,’ and he was like, ‘Okay, well let me know what car you want.'”

Humphries expressed disbelief at O’Neal’s response.

In his Instagram post, O’Neal stated that he will pay for the full automobile and delivery to Humphries during a FaceTime session with her. The young wrestler was thrilled when she answered the phone.

Humphries drove away in a 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander, thanking O’Neal in a heartfelt Instagram message.

“After struggling to get to practice, not making tournaments due to the distance, and taking Ubers and Lyfts back and forth from college, I was blessed with a 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander from the one and only SHAQUILLE O’NEAL @shaq with the help of the amazing @effortless_motors crew at @palmpalmpgh,” she wrote on Instagram.

She said, “Thank you, God; thank you, family; and, most importantly, thank you for believing in me.” I couldn’t achieve anything without the love and support you all provide me. I will not let you down if you continue to believe in me. God is good. We built it for everyone, and this is only the beginning.”
