Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are two of Hollywood’s most recognized faces, but they’re also two of the easiest to misidentify.

I mean, the two celebs look so similar it’s eerie, and it doesn’t help that they have such a tight bond and frequently appear together on and off TV.

And maybe it doesn’t end with a bromance, as McConaughey’s mother whispered one phrase to Harrelson that made them realize they may be brothers.

Given the abundance of conspiracy theories and statements, Harrelson recently declared that a DNA test would likely be conducted to clarify the situation.

The couple initially met in 1999, when they acted in the comedy film EDtv, but it appears that their relationship dates back much further.

All of this stems from a conversation the couple had with McConaughey’s mother, Mary Kathleen ‘Kay’ McConaughey, while on vacation in Greece.

During that journey, McConaughey claimed she whispered one phrase that made things appear deeper than they could have anticipated.

“In Greece a few years ago, we were sitting around talking about how close we are and about our families,” the 54-year-old remarked on the Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa podcast.

“And my mother appears, and she says, ‘Woody, I knew your father. Everyone was aware of the ellipses that my mother left after ‘know.’. It was a loaded K.N.E.W.

He also stated, “And that’s part of our bromance, right?” My children call him Uncle Woody. His children address me as Uncle Matthew, among other titles. And you see images of us, and my family believes many of the pictures of him are of me. His family believes that many of the photos I have are of him.

The Interstellar actor stated that the two movie stars went on to ‘unpack what this ‘knowing’ meant and performed some arithmetic.’.

They discovered that Harrelson’s father was on furlough at the same time that McConaughey’s parents were divorcing (they were married three times).

She explained, “The year of [McConaughey’s] birth, nine months before, she was on a sabbatical from her relationship with his supposed father, Jim.”

“Then there’s possible receipts and places out in West Texas where there might have been a gathering, or a meeting, or a ‘knew’ moment,” the actress said.

While the couple had previously avoided undergoing DNA testing because McConaughey was uncomfortable with the notion of discovering his father was not his real father, it is now beginning to appear probable.

“We haven’t done the DNA test yet, but we will probably do it. “I believe there’s a real possibility,” Harrelson told Johnny Vaughan on Radio X.

He also mentioned the ‘troubling’ ellipses of Mary’s ‘knowing’ in Greece, saying, “Yeah, it seems like something happened. Matthew’s parents divorced. They got married three times.

“Yeah. So they’d separate for a bit, and during one of those intervals, Charles Harrelson appeared to win favor with her.”
