Officer Ryan Tillman, a beloved school resource officer at Don Lugo High School in California, devised a creative approach to say goodbye to the children.

After receiving a promotion to Chino Police Corporal, Tillman, who had formed strong bonds at the school, was ready to leave his job.

But rather than a normal tearful farewell, Tillman chose something more unforgettable.

Officer Tillman, in collaboration with the school’s administration and dance squad, organized a surprise dance performance during an assembly.

Speaking to NBC Los Angeles about his decision, he stated,

“I wanted to make a big exit, so I thought, what better way than to dance?”

He wasn’t simply saying goodbye; he was leaving a lasting impression with a humorous, wonderful moment.

As the gathering began, Tillman joined the dancing students on stage, causing the gymnasium to fill with enthusiasm. When Lil Mama’s “Lip Gloss” started playing, the dancing began.

While it may appear strange for a police officer to dance in front of high school kids, Officer Tillman demonstrated that he was more than simply an officer—he could move!

The students erupted in shouts when Tillman demonstrated his dancing ability.
