Richard Chamberlain, who rose to popularity in the 1960s medical drama “Dr. Kildare” and later became king of the miniseries with hits like “Shogun” and “The Thorn Birds,” has died. He was ninety. The last time we saw him in public was two years ago.

However, few people are aware that the actor, who made ladies throughout the country drool with his dreamy performance in the 1960s “Dr. Kildare” and was a heartthrob as Father Ralph in the 1980s “The Thorn Birds,” came out as homosexual at the age of almost 70.

In a December 2010 interview, Chamberlain addressed the April reports of his separation from Rabbett. They questioned him about rumors of his departure from their shared Hawaii house for Los Angeles.

The star swiftly clarified that he and his partner had not split and were extremely close. The “Strength and Honour” star stated that the “essence” of their relationship had stayed intact, although they did not live together, and he had returned for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time.
