Katharine LaNasa received affection at the 2025 Emmy Awards from the Television Academy and her husband, Grant Show.
On September 14, the Pitt actress won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She expressed how “proud and honored” she was during her award speech.
LaNasa went on to thank the nurses who “inspired” her, as well as her co-star Noah Wyle, a fellow Emmy winner, and her family.
“Lastly, my children for making me real, and my beautiful husband, Grant Show, for always helping me with everything,” she said before wrapping up her address.
So, who is Katherine LaNasa’s husband? Here’s all you need to know about Grant Show and his relationship with the award-winning actress.

Show is most remembered for his role as Jake Hanson on Melrose Place, which he played on three distinct series in the franchise: Melrose Place, Beverly Hills, 90210, and Models Inc.
“They cast me from Melrose Place,” Show said on the Melrose Place rewatch podcast Still the Place in July 2024. “And then knowing that they were going to put that character on 90210 to sort of springboard Melrose Place.”
Like many other performers, Show began his career in daytime soap operas. From 1984 to 1987, he portrayed Rick Hyde on ABC’s Ryan’s Hope. In an October 2017 Soap Opera Digest interview, Show acknowledged his time on the show as helping him become a better actor.
“It’s knowing that I can deliver,” he told me. “Give me something, and I’ll give it right back.” After three years on a soap, you understand what they want you to do and how to accomplish it.”
Throughout his decades-long career, Show has been in a variety of programs, including Six Feet Under, Swingtown, Big Love, Strong Medicine, Devious Maids, and many more.
Show played Blake Carrington on The CW’s revival of Dynasty for five seasons, from 2017 to 2022, bringing him closer to Aaron Spelling, who produced the original series.
“If you look at my career and my connection with Aaron Spelling and my connection with soap operas, I’ve been with them and developing with them through the last 30-plus years,” he told Soap Opera Digest at the time. “So, I think I’m uniquely positioned to play Blake Carrington—and I am having a blast.”

LaNasa won an Emmy, but the Television Academy also honored Show’s efforts.
According to TV Guide, the actor received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in 1987 for his performance in Ryan’s Hope.
On the red carpet at the 2025 Primetime Emmy Awards on September 14, Show expressed his pride in his wife.
“I’ve watched her, and she works harder than anyone I know,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “I’ve watched her work and work and work, knock on door after door, and finally be recognized for what she’s been doing for 35 years. “It’s just pure delight.”
LaNasa and Show originally met while filming the HBO series Big Love in 2006.
“But my character essentially replaced hers, so we never really spent time together,” Show told Redbook in July 2013. “About eight months later, I was in Vancouver working on a movie, and she was working on a pilot up there, too.”
He went on to say, “We would hang out with a mutual friend, but neither of us was available, so we were just friends who went bowling.” When I returned to Los Angeles, I eventually asked her out, and we went on a few proper dates.”

The pair confirmed their engagement in July 2012. “Katherine is very excited and already working on plans for the wedding that will take place later this year,” a representative told PEOPLE at the time.
LaNasa and Shaw married on August 18, 2012, nearly a month after they announced their engagement.
The stars got married in The Oak Grove at Ribbit Tree & Plant Nursery in Topanga, California. Later, they told PEOPLE, “We’re so happy we found each other.”
In August 2025, LaNasa sent a heartfelt homage to Show on Instagram in honor of their 13th wedding anniversary.
“Great year, baby,” she captioned a carousel of black-and-white photographs of herself and Show. “I love you to bits.” Happy 13th! 🤍”
LaNasa was previously married to Dennis Hopper and French Stewart, whilst Show was married to Pollyanna McIntosh.

On March 25, 2014, they had their daughter, Eloise.
According to an interview with Soap Opera Digest in 2017, Show’s child was born in Atlanta.
LaNasa also has a son named Henry, whom she shares with her first husband, Hopper. Henry was born in September 1990, according to the actress’ Instagram.
They take care to meet together “at least once every ten days.”
Juggling two actors’ busy schedules may make quality time difficult, but in August 2013, Show told PEOPLE that he and LaNasa made sure to “get together in the same city and in the same bed at least once every 10 days—no more than 10 days go by.”
“So I’ll travel to visit her, and she’ll fly to see me. When I was filming Maids in Atlanta, she was working on Deception in New York, so I would stay in New York, fly down to Atlanta for a couple of days of work, and then fly back up. I must have made that trip about 16 times,” he added.

Although they may not see each other as often while filming, Show stated that they typically chat “three or four times” each day.
“We would never go a whole day without talking!” he joked.
LaNasa concluded her 2025 Emmy acceptance speech with a heartfelt thank you to her children and her “beautiful” husband, clearly moved by his wife’s triumph.
Following her prize acceptance, LaNasa engaged in a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, where they discussed Show’s response.

“He has been with me through a lot. He’s done a lot of self-tapes with me,” LaNasa said of her home auditions. “Thank you, Grant, for the 10,000 self-tapes we made in the dining room after we put the kid to sleep.”
“That was my life before I acquired The Pitt. “It’s amazing,” she explained.
