The woman wanted to raise about £15,000, or more than $16,000, according to Daily Mail. She wasn’t expecting Crowe to give her a third of her financial target in a matter of hours, but he did.

The actor gave the owners £5,000 ($5,500), leaving them flabbergasted. The tiny gifts they had been getting, according to Fridd and her husband Dan, had thrilled them, so when they saw Crowe’s contribution at 10:30 p.m., it astounded them.
