Scott Baio’s most well-known role was as Chachi Arcola on the television sitcom Happy Days. The actor turned to Twitter to announce his departure from the Golden State, where he has lived for many years.
The actor mentioned the expanding homeless population in Los Angeles as the basis for his choice.
The actor has lived in Los Angeles for the last 45 years, but it seems that he has had his fill of the city and state. “After 45 years, I’m finally “exiting stage right’ from California,” he tweeted. According to the most recent Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority study, about 69,000 people will be homeless in L.A. County and 41,000 in the city by 2022.”

Many individuals expressed their feelings over Baio’s choice to depart. Some people recognized the actor’s motive. “Good for you, Scott,” one Twitter user said. “You and your family will be considerably happier as a result. Furthermore, if CA ever changes, you may return.”
“Wonderful, sir,” another Twitter user said. I hope you find a home where you and your family can be happy and comfortable. If you want it, there is still some room available in Texas. We would be delighted to have you here.”

While another individual wrote, reflecting Baio’s thoughts, “Congratulations. We’ll be out of here if and when my son departs. I’ve been here since 1970, and it’s not in the same gorgeous condition it used to be.”
Others were less enthusiastic. “Considering you’ve never done anything to help out in the situation after getting wealthy off of us, we will be glad to see you go,” one angry Twitter user said. Another user shared their experience, writing, “Happy Californian here, especially knowing you’re leaving!”
Others mocked the actor, with one person remarking, “With your lack of work over the last 20+ years, are you homeless?”

“You’ve been irrelevant for about 30 years; who cares?” Another individual chimed in.
“It’ll be easy to pack up your tent and shopping cart,” said another user, who was offended by his remark. “Because you’ve been out of work for 40 years as well!”
The 62-year-old actor is a man of his word, having posted his Woodland Hills home for sale. The house is worth $3.85 million. It is a large property with 6,300 square feet, five bedrooms, four and a half baths, and a home theater. The house was acquired for $1.85 million in 2010.
Scott Baio is merely joining a long line of Hollywood celebrities who have relocated from California to other states. Big celebrities like Matthew McConaughey, Joe Rogan, and Mark Wahlberg have all left California in recent years.

McConaughey revealed his plan to return to his native state of Texas in December 2020. His motivation for relocating had less to do with his desire for his children to grow up with the same ‘values’ as he did and more to do with his desire to be closer to his family.
In August 2020, Joe Rogan made a similar move. His motivation for relocating his family was the “insane” traffic and exorbitant expense of living in Los Angeles. The well-known podcast broadcaster has also relocated to Texas. Mark Wahlberg sold his Beverly Hills house for $30 million and relocated to Ohio in April 2021. The actor owns a Chevrolet dealership in the state and has relatives nearby, which may have influenced his choice.
