Pamela Anderson makes a comeback at age 55 with a completely different appearance on runway. PHOTO

It’s nearly impossible to think about Pamela Anderson without conjuring up images of the stunning model who adorned Playboy magazine and played the seductive C.J. Parker on Baywatch.

Anderson, who is now 55, has spent decades in the spotlight, having enormous success and managing to remain relevant in a business that is fiercely competitive and famously fickle.

Nevertheless, despite having identifiable features, the stunning blonde was hardly recognizable when she appeared in a BOSS runway show in Miami, Florida.

Anderson garnered criticism from a variety of internet sources when she led models down the runway on Wednesday night because she was wearing a somewhat more subdued appearance than fans are used to seeing. Pamela Anderson transformed from a waitress and cheerleader in high school to one of the most well-known actors in the world in a handful of years.

The attractive Canadian woman has experienced a lot in her life, including becoming a famous actress and Playboy model, as well as tumultuous divorces and a devastating miscarriage.

Her climb to stardom began in the 1990s and has since continued unabated. Even at the age of 55, she never ceases to amaze.

Her performance in Baywatch, one of the most popular TV shows in the world at the time, is directly responsible for most of her renown. Few people will ever forget the now-iconic red swimming costume worn by her character, C.J. Parker, who became well-known.

In spite of the fact that it has been thirty years since Pamela raced down the beach for the first time and won fans all over the world, she is still a notable figure in the entertainment industry.

Which is maybe why it’s so interesting to see her change her appearance.

The model, according to the Daily Mirror, ditched her customary voluminous bleach-blonde hair, dark smoky eyes, and nude lipstick in favor of a far more understated look when she walked the catwalk on Wednesday night at a show in Miami for BOSS.

On the night, Pamela appeared with people including DJ Khaled, Demi Lovato, and supermodel Naomi Campbell.

Anderson dressed for the occasion in a gray jacket, semi-sheer pants, and nude patent shoes while sporting her trademark messy bun. Although that’s not the look people often identify with her, it was effective in generating buzz.

Recently, the model-turned-actress spoke out to Entertainment Tonight Canada about her prior confidence issues, particularly when she initially started to succeed in the entertainment industry.

Anderson said, “I hated everything; I hated the way I looked.”

“I just didn’t have that confidence or self-confidence. I was so shy, and I always thought everyone was pretty.”

It’s interesting that she also said that she never wanted to get into modeling as a career. She envisioned herself first becoming a nun or librarian, then rising to stardom through Playboy.

How do you feel about Pamela’s appearance? She seems like one of those people who will always be beautiful, at least in my opinion.
