Jimmie Johnson, a NASCAR racer, and his family have experienced a terrible loss. According to reports, Jack and Terry Janway, as well as Johnson’s 11-year-old nephew Dalton, were all slain in a shooting at their Oklahoma home.

A 911 call was made on Monday at 9:05 p.m., suggesting a disturbance and stating the presence of a pistol, before the conversation abruptly terminated, according to a report from the Muskogee Police Department.

Officers arrived at the location and found a dead person in the corridor. They soon heard another gunshot coming from another area of the house. Authorities were able to confirm the deaths of Jack (69), Terry (68), and Dalton after discovering two additional bodies.

Chandra Janway, Jimmie’s wife, is the daughter of Jack and Terry, and Dalton is their nephew.

Terry is thought to be the suspect in what authorities are examining as a murder-suicide. The reason behind the incident is still unknown, and it’s not confirmed if Terry called the police.

Lynn Hamlin, a representative for the Muskogee Police Department, confirmed these particulars to the media.

Due to this unfortunate incident, Jimmie Johnson has been ruled out of the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series race in Chicago, according to Legacy Motor Club. The team announced on Twitter that the No. 84 Carvana Chevrolet will not be participating in the event. Additionally, it underscored the family’s plea for confidentiality and said no other remarks would be made.
