Michael Jackson’s friends opened up about his ‘fake’ high-pitched voice

When you think about Michael Jackson, you can’t help but think of his high-pitched voice.

Impersonators continue to emulate the former King of Pop’s voice after his tragic death in 2009, with it becoming part of their costume, just like his distinctive bedazzled glove and white trilby hat.

Those close to Jackson, on the other hand, have claimed that the musician’s pitched voice was ‘fake’ and only utilized in interviews.

In fact, according to a former acquaintance of the late artist, he sounded far deeper in person.

Samm Brown III’s allegation regarding Jackson’s ‘false voice’ has touched a nerve with fans, despite the fact that the musical director made the amazing revelation back in 2005.

He told VH1 in an interview, “I hope he doesn’t get angry at me for telling you this, but that’s his public persona.”

“I remember calling him up, and he answered the phone, and I didn’t realize I was talking to him because he was talking in his normal voice, which is pretty deep,” he continued.

His remarks are even more remarkable given that his Jackson Five bandmate was still alive at the time.

Nonetheless, Brown was not the only person to make this comment about the “smooth criminal.”

When he appeared on Larry King Live, actor David Guest made a similar statement regarding the late singer.

“I think people don’t know the real him,” Guest remarked of the late-night TV presenter. He doesn’t speak like that.”

In fact, Guest’s wife described how she overheard a conversation between the two men and accidentally learned Jackson’s true voice.

In the same Larry King interview, actress Liza Minnelli stated that she had always believed the high-pitched pitch was real.

That is, until one fateful evening.

On the chat program, the A-Lister went on to tell an incredible insider anecdote about the chart-topper.

According to the 77-year-old, she picked up the phone by accident and overheard Guest and Jackson conversing.

Unusually, the singer did not have his distinctive high-pitched voice, prompting Minnelli to call him out despite the fact that she was not part of the conversation.

“I said, ‘Michael, you’re busted,” she told viewers. I have you now. ‘You’ve been speaking in that voice for years!'”

However, the pair later claimed that the singer’s terrible history was concealed by his voice, shielding him from public scrutiny.

“This is who you think I am, and I can be myself within these walls, but you can’t come in,” she continued.

“He’s gone through a lot, Larry. They’ve said some really nasty things about him. Believe it or not, the person we know is a quite normal man.”

We’ll never know who the ‘Man in the Mirror’ was after Jackson’s death.
