She met Don Johnson when she was 14 years old.

Melanie Griffith appeared in her first ad before she was a year old. She proceeded to perform commercials and modeling work for a few years until making her uncredited debut in Extra! at the age of 12.

She made her film debut at the age of 14 in The Harrad Experiment, when she met her first major love. On set, Griffith met actor Don Johnson, and the two fell madly in love.
