Have you ever seen a homeless person while walking down the street and wondered what happened to that individual to cause them to end up there?
Were the decisions poor?
Unfavorable circumstances?
A hybrid of the two?
A person is still a person, regardless of how they got into that predicament.
Many homeless people go unnoticed or are looked down upon; very few people will truly try to help.

In order to eat, homeless individuals would frequently search dumpsters for abandoned food that was still edible.
When one man couldn’t locate anything that day, he decided to go straight to the source.
He went into El Sur Street Food Co. in Little Rock, Arkansas, and asked the man behind the counter if they had any food leftovers that they couldn’t sell.
The man was hungry and desperate, but he was fortunate to have been at the right place at the right moment and met the right individual.
Instead of offering the homeless man leftover crumbs, the man behind the desk purchased him a whole lunch.
Another restaurant patron, Ronda Chung, observed the incident and felt the impact of what the worker had done.
The man behind the counter cheerfully stated that he would gladly pay for the other man’s lunch and began making recommendations.
And he wasn’t serving the cheapest stuff on the menu, like chips and salsa or pupusas; instead, he served one of the largest dishes on the menu, the con todo baleada.
The homeless guy was shocked but happily accepted the offer, and when asked if he wanted the food served at a table or packaged to go, he indicated he wanted to inconvenience the company as little as possible and would take it to go.
The man behind the desk glanced at his customer and assured him, “I am not bothered by your being here.”
He escorted the man to a table and instructed him to have a seat until his food was cooked, and then to sit and enjoy his meal.

The homeless man was taken aback by the stranger’s generosity and enthusiastically expressed his appreciation and thankfulness to the other man.
At the end of their message, Ronda wrote, “This is the Arkansas I want.”
Despite the fact that this was all shared through Ronda’s personal account, it has already received over 3,000 views and hundreds of comments from individuals stating similar things.
“You are so kind; we need more people like you.” “Such a caring person,” commented one; “that man is amazing!” said another. In this astonishing story, the adage “Kindness is free to give, but priceless to receive” is proven true.
