Mark Cropp, a 19-year-old New Zealander, has attracted international notice after posting a job posting on Facebook. He has a tattoo on his jaw that says “DEVAST8,” which he obtained while incarcerated. Cropp’s brother created the tattoo to make him appear strong after he was imprisoned for a series of violent acts.

The brothers were supposed to get a modest tattoo, but they got carried away while drinking homemade booze made from fermented apples, sugar, and bread. Cropp has had several job offers since his job posting went viral, but he is still looking for the ideal one that would allow him to buy a car and support his family.

According to pictures that have leaked online, Cropp had a baby face before the tattoo. He was sentenced to prison at the age of 17 for violent robbery, eluding capture, and assault with a weapon. Cropp pleaded guilty to the charges, explaining that he committed the offenses to support himself and his pregnant fiancée after his parents forced them out of their house.

Cropp wishes to get the tattoo removed eventually but acknowledges it’s tough because his brother made it for him and it has a personal value for him. However, he feels that removing the tattoo is the best thing for his future and that he can be a source of support for his family.

Cropp stated that he has learned from his error and feels that individuals should not be judged based on the tattoos on their faces, but he is aware that it will continue until he takes action.
