People perplexed by ‘glitch in the matrix’ after observing plane ‘stopped motionless in the air’. VIDEO

Many vacation videos fill our TikTok feeds, especially during the summer months, giving us near-endless stuff to watch.

While some of them just make us envious of individuals who are on vacation, others leave us perplexed and prompt us to ask a few questions.

Plane appears to be stopped still in the air (it is NOT)

A plane seems to stop mid-air in one Reddit video, indicating the latter.

A passenger on another airline captured the video, which appears to show a plane coming to a complete stop in the air.

As a result, many people have wondered if it’s a ‘glitch in the matrix’ after witnessing the clip.

Many Redditors have flocked to the comments section in response to the video, and it’s safe to assume that many of them are perplexed.

“I had this encounter in a vehicle full of people. I noticed a plane parallel to us and thought, ‘Uhhhh, anyone else noticing this plane not moving?’ ” And I’m so glad everyone else noticed it,” one individual wrote.

“The video didn’t play, so I was really confused,” said a second. The video then began to play, and I became even more perplexed.”

A third person said, “A failure of The Matrix.”

Others, on the other hand, provided a more plausible explanation, with one person writing: “Strong headwind and a low indicated airspeed coupled with a trick of perspective.”

The video isn’t the first time the internet has been perplexed by planes appearing to be stopped motionless in the air,’ as one popular TikTok earlier this year revealed.

Tania, a TikTok user, is driving down the road when she notices a passenger jet in the air above the traffic.

Tania exclaims, “I told you! I told you!” as the jet looks to be stuck. I warned you! Did I not warn you? That is really insane! Bro!”

Tania wrote, “Matrix Glitch?” This isn’t the first time I’ve seen something like this in Chicago.”

Other TikTok users expressed their astonishment in the comments section.

“I would’ve had to pull over and get out to make sure I was seeing this correctly,” one wrote. This is hilarious.”

Fortunately, a particular expert has provided a straightforward explanation for all of this.

“In all likelihood, the motion of the car is counteracting the slowing down of the plane—possibly as it comes in to land,” Metro’s science and technology correspondent Jeff Parsons wrote in response to another video showing a hanging plane from a driving car.

“Add to that the shifting perspective of the camera, and it could seem as if the plane was stationary in the air.”
