On November 12, a landslide occurred in the northern state’s Uttarkashi district, forcing a tunnel under construction to collapse, trapping 41 people within.
The first footage of the workers was revealed earlier today (Tuesday, November 21) after an endoscopic camera was sent down a six-inch pipeline.
The first hot meal, allegedly featuring Aloo-Chana Dal, Khichdi, and Daliya, was also brought to the besieged workers today via the pipes.
Workers have also received oxygen and other supplies like medication, phones, and chargers.
According to The Times of India, one of the stranded workers, Akhilesh Kumar, stated, “We are getting food, but all of us are in bad condition.” What is the status of the rescue efforts?
“Please take us out as soon as possible. It is becoming increasingly difficult with each passing day.”

International tunneling specialist Arnold Dix stated this morning (November 21) that obtaining video footage of the miners was ‘great’ news.
“It’s great to see the faces of those men we’re going to bring home,” he remarked. We are currently sending food to them and communicating with them.
“As you can see this morning, we have several ways to come to the rescue. It’s a pleasant morning.”

Dix updated the rescue assembly, saying that they want to drill down vertically but are still preparing the location since it is “very important that it is done very precisely.”
“I think the team here did an excellent job.” It’s incredible… “Two locations have been identified (for vertical drilling),” he adds.
“We’re going to save these men.” The aim is for 41 soldiers to return home safely and without incident.”
The rescue attempt suffered a ‘brief setback’ when the piling equipment stopped on the narrow road leading to the location.
Workers are working hard to expand the road so that it can continue its voyage, and according to the most recent report from the Times of India, rescue workers have begun their horizontal drilling.

“All agencies, engineers, technicians, and experts are working on it,” Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami remarked. Food is currently being delivered through the six-inch pipeline as a result of their efforts. This is quite positive for us.
“We pray to God for the rescue operation to be completed as soon as possible and for all of our workers to be safe.” Every day, PM gathers information and assists us in whatever way he can.”
