Gerry and Theresa’s Golden Bachelor Wedding will defy tradition in this adorable way

Following their whirlwind romance on The Golden Bachelor, Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist are set to tie the knot, and everyone is invited to the celebration. The highly anticipated wedding of the inaugural Golden couple is scheduled to be broadcast on ABC in the series’ usual time slot on Thursday, Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. ET.

As this will be a live special, there are not many traditional spoilers available—no sneak peeks of Theresa in her wedding dress, no hints of a dramatic “I object!” moment. However, the couple has shared a few intriguing details leading up to the big day.

During a Bachelor Happy Hour interview, Theresa expressed her desire to invite all her fellow Golden Bachelor ladies, singling out Faith Martin and mentioning Leslie Fhima, though unsure if she would attend.

Gerry echoed similar sentiments about Leslie, expressing comfort due to his deep feelings and respect for her. He added, “If she were comfortable being there, I would certainly be comfortable having her there.”

Theresa revealed that her daughter will serve as the maid of honor, with her sisters as flower girls, anticipating their joy at the roles.

Given Theresa and her daughter’s shared love for gardening, the wedding is expected to feature “abundant roses and gardens,” as she told People. The reception will include long tables and a draped ceiling, creating a romantic and Bridgerton-esque atmosphere.

The couple’s music choices for the celebration are delightfully eclectic. Gerry hinted at a potential wedding playlist on Instagram, spanning from Miley Cyrus’ “Used to Be Young” to Pitbull and Ne-Yo’s “Time of Our Lives.” The first dance, however, is likely to be a classic ballad like Celine Dion’s “The Power of Love” or Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.”

While Gerry and Theresa have kept the official wedding venue under wraps, Bachelor Nation podcaster Reality Steve has shared the reported location—posting pictures he claims show Gerry and Theresa touring La Quinta Resort & Club, near Palm Springs, a familiar spot from Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams’ Bachelorette season.

Although the wedding planning timeline is swift, it’s not as rapid as Theresa’s previous marriage to her late husband, Billy, which she planned in just three days with her mother’s help. Reflecting on that experience, Theresa noted, “We had a gown, a veil, a cake, a photographer, music, really in the basement of my house. There was no diamond ring, so this is brand-new and amazing.”
