Jon Voight, a highly respected actor in the industry, has collaborated with numerous Hollywood figures throughout his career. However, according to Voight, one actor stands out among the rest: Robert DeNiro.
Expressing his sentiments, Voight remarked, “Working with him is a chore; it’s like babysitting a spoiled kid.” Voight, who spent over six months filming “Casino” with DeNiro, asserts that he has no intention of working with him again.

Describing DeNiro as an “angry little man,” the seasoned actor suggests that much of DeNiro’s on-screen persona mirrors his real emotional state. Voight notes the frequent occurrence of DeNiro’s iconic “you talkin’ to me” expression.
Voight mentions that he has declined several roles due to DeNiro’s involvement, revealing, “I was supposed to be Greg Focker’s dad.”

ALLOD Entertainment Correspondent Tara Newhole questions Voight’s right to criticize DeNiro’s work on “Casino.” She acknowledges DeNiro’s excellence, particularly highlighting the memorable desert scene where Joe Pesci and his brother are brutally beaten and buried alive. Despite acknowledging that Voight wasn’t part of the scene, Newhole humorously suggests feeling his spirit.
Newhole expresses uncertainty about Voight’s participation in “Casino” and speculates on his involvement in “Heat,” emphasizing that the latter is a collaboration between DeNiro and Pacino, according to those paying attention. In Newhole’s view, Voight may be perceived as “just another out-of-touch, partially delusional Boomer.”
