Police have made multiple arrests in connection with the death of Matthew Perry

Perry’s death in his hot tub on October 28, 2023, sparked an investigation.

The listing of his cause of death as “the acute effects of ketamine” led to an investigation into how the drug entered his system.

TMZ reports that arrests have been made in connection with Perry’s death.

According to ‘sources’, a warrant was executed against a doctor and ‘several dealers’ who were reportedly engaged in supplying Perry with ketamine.

According to the allegations, the warrant uncovered texts discussing Perry.

The Los Angeles Police Department has already stated that it is collaborating with the Drug Enforcement Administration and the United States Postal Inspection Service to investigate the star’s death.

When asked about Perry’s cause of death, senior deputy medical examiner Raffi Djabourian stated that additional contributing causes were coronary artery disease and the effects of buprenorphine, a medicine used to treat opiate addiction.

He speculated: “The likelihood of submersion into the pool as he lapsed into unconsciousness contributes to drowning, while the exacerbation of ketamine-induced myocardial effects on the heart contributes to coronary artery disease.”

Officers previously took a celebrity’s phone and laptop after questioning them about Perry’s death.

According to The Guardian, Perry was getting ketamine infusion therapy for anxiety and despair.

The actor had already discussed this therapy in his 2022 memoir, Friends, Lovers, and The Big Terrible Thing.

However, it turned out that Perry received his final treatment a week and a half before his death, giving his body plenty of time to process the medications.

This showed that the drugs in Perry’s system had no connection to his treatment plan and had come from somewhere else.

In a previous statement to the press about Perry’s death, the LAPD stated: “Based on the medical examiner’s findings, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), with the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the United States Postal Inspection Service, has continued its investigation into the circumstances of Mr. Perry’s death.”

The police inquiry into Perry’s death continues.
