Noah Cyrus is commemorating her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.
The “July” singer, 25, shared Billy Ray’s new song on Instagram Stories on Friday, Feb. 7, marking the first time she has talked publicly about her father after brother Trace Cyrus hinted at a schism within the famous family.
“I am so proud of my dad’s INCREDIBLE new single LOST with my good, old friend [Sam Tinnesz] and [Tommee Profitt],” she said, adding two red hearts.
Billy Ray, 63, released a new song called “Lost” with Tinnesz and Profitt on February 7, his first since his contentious performance at President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20.
After the performance, Trace Cyrus, 35, posted an open letter of concern to Billy Ray on Instagram, specifically mentioning Noah, writing that the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer had grown distant in recent years.
“Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years, but you’ve pushed us all away,” the author said. “Noah truly wanted you to be a part of her life, but you haven’t even been there for her. That is your baby daughter. She deserved better. She still idolizes you, just like I do.”
Noah, for her part, did not react publicly to Trace’s letter, but a source told PEOPLE that she and her siblings were not interested in fighting.
“They got through the drama of 2024, and it’s a new year,” the insider explained. “Miley, Noah, Braison, and Tish do not want to be part of the Cyrus family fight. “This isn’t fun for them.”
Billy Ray appeared to react to Trace’s letter on Jan. 26 when he posted a music video clip from his 2009 song “Somebody Said a Prayer,” which featured Trace.

“Sunday callin’,” Billy Ray captioned the YouTube video. “Thanks for the California rain. I am fervently praying for those who are experiencing heartbreak and suffering. I am also praying for my family. For my children: boys and daughters, and their mother. Let this moment mark the beginning of healing ❤️🩹 for everybody. “The past is not equal to the future. Amen 🙏🏼.”
Days later, on February 2, Billy Ray celebrated Miley’s Grammy win for best country duo/group performance for her duet with Beyoncé, “II Most Wanted.”
“Congratulations @mileycyrus and @beyonce on their well-deserved @recordingacademy Grammy wins!” he said on Instagram, with a photo announcing their triumph. “Couldn’t be prouder!!!”

Miley, who accompanied boyfriend Maxx Morando and mother Tish to the Grammys, “liked” her father’s Instagram post.
Billy Ray had his first public appearance since the inauguration, during which his set was hampered by technical issues, on February 1 at a fundraiser benefiting the Nashville Humane Association.
He also recently announced that his son Braison’s album will be out sometime this summer.
