For the first time since his accusation of the CEO of UnitedHealthcare’s m*rder, Luigi Mangione has spoken out from prison

Luigi Mangione has spoken out for the first time from jail since being charged with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

Thompson was shot right outside his hotel in New York City, sparking a chase for his a*tacker that culminated at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania, where Mangione was apprehended.

Mangione has been charged with first-degree murder and has pleaded not guilty to all criminal counts against him, including the claim that he murdered an act of t*rrorism.

Since his detention, Mangione has had few opportunities to speak out, but he did once exclaim, ‘It’s absolutely out of touch and an insult to the intelligence of the American people and their lived experience,’ while being carried by cops.

Now, his team has published a message from him while he is in jail, in which he thanks everyone who has supported him.

A website has been created for anyone interested in Mangione’s case and wishing to keep up with all of the official developments, including a statement from the guy himself.

The statement read, “I am amazed and appreciative to everyone who has written to share their tales and offer their support.

“This support has powerfully crossed political, racial, and even class boundaries, as correspondence has flooded MDC from all over the country and the world.

“While I am unable to respond to most letters, please know that I read every one that I get.

“Many thanks to everyone who took the time to write. I am looking forward to hearing more in the future.”

Over $400,000 (£317,000) has been donated in public donations to assist in paying Mangione’s legal defense, and his agents have stated that he very much appreciates the outpouring of support.

His legal team has collected donations from nearly 10,000 members of the public and stated that the funds would be used to cover Mangione’s legal fees.

Mangione’s case is extremely contentious. Some people in the United States despise the health insurance sector, while others accuse him of killing Brian Thompson.

Bullet shells discovered at the sho*ting location were carved with the words ‘Deny,’ ‘Depose, and ‘Defend,’ which appear to mimic the title of a book about the US health insurance system titled Delay, Deny, Defend: Why Insurance Companies Don’t Pay Claims and What You Can Do About It.
