Homesteading has been a popular lifestyle choice in recent years. Subsistence farming, home food storage, and even small-scale textile and apparel manufacture distinguish it. It also contains some artisan items for personal use or sale.

This lifestyle is becoming increasingly popular since it allows individuals to maintain a certain level of living without requiring a lot of money.

Mama V is a woman who has dedicated her life to homesteading. This woman became bored of the hectic city life and, having always dreamed of establishing a cottage for herself in the distant woods, ultimately left the city and moved into an old mini-school bus.

The mini school bus appeared to be the ideal house at first, but because she had her cats and dogs with her, the space became congested, so she considered adding another room, which was not a simple task to plan or build. Furthermore, she lacked the financial resources to complete such a project.

But then one of her neighbors invited her over and offered her his old and abandoned trailer, which had been in his yard for many years.

He intended to get rid of it, but Mama V liked it and was thrilled with it, so he gave it to her for free.

“She’s ugly, but she’s mine!” Mama V commented on her trailer.

In order to restore the trailer, she had to sell her bus. She knew that converting the old trailer into a house would take a lot of time and effort, but she was willing to give it a shot. Mama V, on the other hand, was unable to accomplish it on her own and enlisted the help of two friends, Jayme and Kevin.

The trailer, while filthy and in need of some repairs, was structurally sound and leak-free. Furthermore, it came equipped with a working microwave oven/stove combination and refrigerator.

Mama V’s friends left after a hard day of cleaning, leaving her to enjoy her new bit of heaven.

The trailer also had two full propane tanks, a pull-out sofa, a full kitchen, two twin beds, a bathroom with a shower and bathtub, a panel that tracked utility consumption, and plenty of storage.

Mama V will begin her own garden and live the life she has always desired once she has settled in.

She is grateful that she and her dogs will have a place to call home and that she is surrounded by kind neighbors who will assist her with whatever she requires as she starts on her new adventure.
