Buckingham Palace replied with a forthright statement after Prince Harry declared he ‘didn’t want history to repeat itself’

In response to Prince Harry’s statement that ‘history should not repeat itself,’ Buckingham Palace has responded.

The prince has made headlines following a shocking interview with the BBC on Friday, May 2, in which he disclosed that his father, King Charles III, no longer speaks to him.

Prince Harry used the interview to discuss his legal struggle to get his taxpayer-funded security arrangements in the UK reinstated, which the court denied.

Since deciding to stand down as a senior royal, the security he was entitled to in the Kingdom has altered, putting his family at risk, he claims.

Since traveling to Canada and later the United States with his wife, Meghan Markle and children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, he has been open about his security status.

He stated of his reduced taxpayer-funded protection for his family, “I don’t want history to repeat itself.”

Harry went further: “Through the [court] process, I have discovered that some people want history to repeat itself.”

“I’m sure that some people out there, probably most likely the people who wish me harm, consider this a huge win,” he remarked, referring to the circumstances surrounding his mother’s death when he was 12 years old.

Princess Diana died in a vehicle accident with her partner Dodi Fayed and driver Henri Paul on August 31, 1997.

Buckingham Palace’s response to Harry’s assertions was cold and blunt: “These issues have been examined meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion on each occasion.”

A source confirmed the Daily Mail’s report: “It would have been constitutionally improper for His Majesty to intervene while this matter was being considered by the government and reviewed by the courts.”

As a result of these developments, Prince Harry said that he would not bring his family back to the UK, stating that he had so many conflicts’ with his family, some of whom had refused to forgive him for authoring a book.

He also stated that he believes ‘the opposing side’ in the case triumphed when it came to keeping him ‘unsafe,’ since his efforts to reestablish police protection in his birthplace were rejected.

Because of losing the battle, Harry revealed that he was ‘devastated’ and laughed, saying that he wished someone had warned me ahead’ that there was almost ‘no chance to win.’
