Photo: Man loses 360 pounds, leaving the internet shocked…

Only four years ago, Cole Prochaska “weighed as much as three men.” After giving up his 5,000-calorie diet for a pair of sneakers, the 41-year-old guy walked his way to a significant weight loss, proudly announcing that he is now the size of “one person.”

In 2021, Florida’s Cole Prochaska had no idea how much he weighed, just that he tipped the scales at more than 585 pounds, the maximum figure the scale could measure.

The man, now 41, claims he has been overweight since he was six years old and has led a sedentary lifestyle characterized by excessive eating.

According to Today, his “overeating” included consuming multiple bags of chips and a 12-pack of drink cans in one day. When he went out to eat fast food, he would order either five cheeseburgers or a full pizza with no modifications.

He thinks that he was ingesting around 5,000 calories per day.

“I felt pretty bad,” Prochaska explained. “I would always try to appear cheerful because that is what many influential people do.” However, I often felt quite lonely. You may avoid going anywhere because you are concerned about fitting into seats, walking long distances, or deciding what to wear.

He couldn’t work out because he was short of breath.

When his seven-year relationship was about to end, Prochaska knew it was time to make some adjustments.

“I knew she had lost respect for me because I was a very large person who wasn’t doing anything meaningful and felt stuck in life,” Prochaska tells me.

“I was attempting to preserve our relationship. I did not salvage the relationship; nevertheless, I did save myself.”

Step by step.

His adventure began with a single step, literally. He could barely handle a few blocks at first, but he promised himself to keep going. He pushed himself harder every day, and before long, those little walks had become a daily pattern that kept him motivated.

I keep myself accountable! “It’s the only way to take control of your life,” he tweets in a post about refusing to cancel a walk due to bad weather.

Every day, regardless of what, he walks at least 10,000 steps.

But walking was just the beginning. Determined to nourish his body properly, he altered his diet. To keep on track, he stopped eating sweets, munchies, and chips; switched to water instead of sugary beverages; and began tracking calories. Instead of empty carbohydrates, he opted for a high-protein diet that provided him with energy and assisted in muscle development.

“It was just me making up my mind that this is it; it’s going to be a life change,” he adds, adding that he subsequently ramped up with gym training. “I feel so great.”

‘Still stuck.’

By 2023, Prochaska had shed almost 360 pounds, but he said that he was still embarrassed to show off his new figure.

“Three to one.” I used to weigh as much as three guys, but today I am only one person. It’s difficult to publish a shirtless photo, but I’ve gone a long way! “I know it’s difficult for some of you to look at,” Prochaska says on the GoFundMe page set up to finance his expensive skin removal surgery in California.

“I’ve achieved my weight goal, yet my life remains incomplete until I eliminate this unnecessary skin.” To disguise fat, I must tuck excess flesh into my jeans and wear loose apparel. I’ve never strolled on the beach without a shirt on and have always avoided pool parties. I am still stuck.” He expresses his dissatisfaction with the excess skin.

Despite his self-consciousness, Prochaska realized he had to share his whole experience with followers, including sharing photographs of his drooping skin on the crowdfunding website, which has so far received $81,226 of his $100,000 target.

‘Inspiring’ Weight Loss

The internet is ablaze with admiration for Prochaska, celebrating his incredible transformation and the dedication required to reach it, with the hope of inspiring others to achieve their goals.

“Absolutely inspirational! Best wishes on your path, and thank you for this type of motivation.” I pray for your safe recovery,” says one kind giver.

A second internet user writes, “You’re a fantastic inspiration to many, Cole. I appreciate your outstanding effort and tenacity in getting to this point and then continuing on. I look forward to seeing you achieve your objective here.

Another comments, “Cole, the weight loss is awesome…” I’m not sure how much all this skin weighs… But that must be a lot. Your knees will love you much more if you lose it, so I hope my small contribution helps you reach your objective!”

‘Keep walking.’

According to Prochaska’s social media, he has not yet undergone the procedure; nevertheless, he did board an aircraft for the first time and went to California to speak with a plastic surgeon about the skin removal surgery. He intends to undergo his first operation within “three to six months.”

“Keep walking…” You can do it. I am a living example. Let’s go,” he tweets from California, where he’s chatting with his fans while roaming the streets.

And, if you’re curious, he claims he dropped the weight organically. “Ozempic might help, as might gastric bypass or any other surgery (no hatred). “I can guarantee that you won’t be as healthy and happy as when you just put your head down and grind,” he said to X in July of 2024.
