Donald Trump issues a scary threat to late-night television broadcasters Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel

Donald Trump has stated that Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel might be the next late-night talk show presenters to be fired.

When the names of the two comedians came up in conversation during a news conference on Wednesday (6 August), the US president appeared to issue a thinly disguised warning.

He appeared to imply that Fallon and Kimmel will soon join Stephen Colbert on the scrap heap of terminated TV hosts, claiming the trio has ‘no talent’ amongst them.

Following the cancellation of Colbert’s legendary and über-popular Late Show on July 17, the number of hilarious late-night shows available to Americans appears to be shrinking by the day.

Trump said he did not use any connections to persuade CBS executives to fire the veteran broadcaster, instead blaming the 61-year-old’s ‘sheer lack of skill.’

In a Truth Social tirade posted on July 29, he then targeted the ‘even less skilled Jimmy Kimmel’ and the ‘weak and obviously insecure Jimmy Fallon.’

Trump then said, “The only real question is, who will go first?”

A week later, it appears he may have further information on this.

According to the commander-in-chief, he has ‘heard’ that Fallon and Kimmel should get their CVs printed and head down to the employment center right now.

During a press conference yesterday, Real America’s Voice reporter Brian Glenn asked Trump an ‘entertainment-based inquiry’ concerning Colbert’s recent firing and Howard Stern’s reported departure from SiriusXM.

He asked the president whether he thought the ‘hate Trump business model’ had run its course, implying that many of his detractors’ careers were now being ruined.

In response, Trump stated, “It hasn’t worked.” It hasn’t worked in a long time, pretty much since the beginning. Colbert has no skill. I could take anyone here… I could walk along the beautiful streets and find a few of the folks who do just as well or better. They would receive higher ratings.” He has no talent.”

He then gave what appeared to be a warning to Fallon and Kimmel.

“Fallon has no talent,” Trump stated. “Kimmel possesses no skill. They’re up next. They’ll be departing. I hear they’ll be going…”

He went on to claim that Colbert drew far more viewers than the two of them; therefore, he believes they don’t have long left in their late-night roles.

Stern also snagged a stray during the conversation, with the President saying, “Howard Stern is a name I haven’t heard in a long time. I used to do his program. We used to have fun.

“You remember when he fell down? He backed Hillary Clinton. He lost his audience. People asked, ‘Give me a break.'”
