My husband and I built a small but cozy 18 m² house, and we’d love to get your thoughts on it

In this post, I’d like to share the captivating story of our little 18-square-meter house. This small dwelling amazes with its charm and style, making it ideal for solo living all year round or as a seasonal cottage. Many say that the key is simply having the desire, and in our case, that desire truly plays a decisive role.

From the outside, the house looks enchanting. Built as a small studio, it blends perfectly into the surrounding environment. The courtyard features a cozy terrace with plants and paths, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

According to the owners, it’s comfortable for year-round living, as it’s well-prepared for winter. Their main home is nearby, and this tiny house serves as a guest space.

The entrance leads directly into a multi-functional area combining the kitchen, living room, and bedroom. A simple yet refined style thoughtfully designs every detail. Everything, including kitchen shelves, rugs, and a coat rack, has its designated spot.

Despite its modest size, the house has all the essentials for comfortable living: a functional mini-kitchen, bathroom, sleeping area, and even a cozy corner for reading or watching TV.

The owner explains, “We built this house like a thermos, with 25 cm thick insulated walls and underfloor heating, making it warm and cozy even during the winter months.”

Even with limited space, the house includes everything necessary for comfortable living, including a tastefully designed shower and toilet.

Electrical heating heats the kitchen area, while lights salvaged from an old house add a special charm.

What do you think of this little house? Doesn’t it prove that even with limited space, you can create a cozy and complete home?
