Millena Brandão, a popular child performer, died at the age of 11 from repeated heart attacks, according to her distraught family.
The Brazilian actor rose to prominence after appearing in the Netflix series Sintonia, a popular Portuguese-language drama in that region.
Brandão, an 11-year-old child celebrity, passed away on May 2, according to his family’s Instagram post on Sunday (May 4).
“This is an open letter to my darling child. We lost our baby daughter on February 5th, but I’m confident she’s in our Almighty Father’s arms and in a wonderful place to play.

“The moments we had together will last a lifetime, and I will never forget your infectious pleasure. My darling, I miss you not being here, and I know I will miss you much more in the days ahead!”
The message continues with this: “You were a light in our life, and I know that from above you will continue to look over us and light up our lives.” I shall love you forever and keep you in my heart. I adore you, baby girl!!
“27.12.2013 [to] 02.05.2025.”
Thays Brandão, the child star’s mother, spoke to the press after her daughter passed away, providing a thorough explanation of her symptoms.
“Her condition worsened, with two to three cardiac arrests every day.” She had 13 arrests in total,” Thays told G1.
“She’d never had it before. There was one day when she experienced seven respiratory arrests. Occasionally they massaged her, and other times they shocked her [with a defibrillator].”

Brandão was first diagnosed with dengue fever, but further testing revealed a urinary tract infection. Doctors prescribed her medicines and sent her home.
After suffering a heart attack, UPA Maria Antonieta transported the child celebrity to Granja General Hospital.
“There was no neurologist present. They merely took a CT scan, and the physicians discovered a 5-centimeter lump in her brain,” Thays said to local media.
“But they don’t know if this bulge is a tumor, a cyst, an edema, or a clot… since they can’t see inside her skull. And now that she’s gone, they’ll perform a biopsy to see what was in her brain.”
No cause of death has been specified.
The General Hospital of Pedreira and UPA Maria Antonieta have expressed ‘regret’ for Brandão’s death.
According to Grajaú General Hospital, the diagnosis was verified according to the approved process for these situations.
“The family was there at every stage of the care, and they were kept informed with respect, acceptance, and all of the assistance they needed in this time of tremendous suffering.
“We stand in solidarity with the family and reaffirm our commitment to providing dignified and humane care.”
