50 Cent showed sorrow about his decision to hang upside down at the Super Bowl LVI halftime performance

50 Cent has stated that he regrets his choice to perform upside down during the Super Bowl halftime show in 2022.

In the music video for his breakout song “In Da Club” in 2003, the rapper famously hung upside down.

He performed the act again at Super Bowl LVI alongside Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Snoop Dogg.

“I think that was a mistake,” the 47-year-old actress told USA Today in a Wednesday interview.

“Everybody else walked in regular, the songs still went over, and they got the trophy, too,” he continued. “They were all Emmy winners.” They received the same stuff I did, and I had to turn myself upside down.”

This year marks the 20th anniversary of 50’s debut album, “Get Rich or Die Tryin’.”

In commemoration of the occasion, he launched a global tour named “The Final Lap” last week.

“It’s going to be a whole new show,” he said of the tour, which will include Busta Rhymes and Jeremih as support artists.

“Sometimes, out of habit, you go to certain records,” he explained. “People like other things on it, so I want to make sure I touch those records before I stop doing them.”

Insider met earlier this year with many of the producers, engineers, and photographers who worked on “Get Rich or Die Tryin’.”

Among them was Sha Money XL, the former president of 50’s record company G-Unit Records, who was heavily involved in the album’s creation.

Sha Money produced three tracks, including “High All the Time,” “Poor Lil Rich,” and “Wanksta,” and recorded “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” at his home studio.

Sha described the album as “hip-hop in its rawest form.”

“A lot of rappers merely release a single song, and you either like the song or don’t,” he explained. “50 not only came out with songs, but he also came out with a story that people could relate to — not getting shot, but the world being against him and him still being fearless and ready to challenge everyone.”
