She will be eternally thankful to a group of hulking high school football players from Georgia who happened to be passing by when they saw a concerned Georgian woman.
Their combined strength was sufficient to pry open the jammed door of the woman’s crushed sedan, which allowed the rescue workers to access the driver, who was in a critical condition inside the vehicle.
On that particular morning, Treyvon Adams, 16, Antwion Carey, 16, Cesar Parker, 16, Messiah Daniels, Tyson Brown, 17, and Alto Moore, 16, were all passengers in Adam’s vehicle as they traveled to school (or, in the case of Caesar, rode with his mom).
They were immediately motivated to take action after seeing the smashed automobile in front of them.
According to the interview that Adams gave to CNN, the group “went as fast as we could” to check on the woman and make sure that she was okay in order to ensure that she was not in any danger.
The fact that she was screaming for help let us know that she was in some kind of danger.
Because there was so much bending and crushed metal, the vehicle could not be salvaged in any way.
The adolescents forced open the door to the passenger compartment without giving it much thought; however, they soon realized that in order to reach their target, they needed to pry open the door to the driver’s compartment as well…
Adams remarked that their team “flexed every muscle.” We are a hardy group that is capable of standing up for ourselves.
We spend a lot of time in the gym getting ready for football, and at that time, we eventually twist and break things. Everything took place in the span of a single minute…
After they had taken the woman from the vehicle and checked on the well-being of the other driver who had been involved in the accident, the adolescents were already on their way back to school.
Adams admitted that the act was garnering a lot of positive attention and acclaim, which their teachers commended and which the school encouraged. Adams also stated that the school was facilitating this praise.
The school’s football team highlighted their pride in the school’s male student athletes by referencing a tweet that stated, “PROUD of our MEN!” in which they referenced the message.
The teens, like any great heroes, admitted that the praise was welcomed, but that their heroic act could have been undertaken by anybody. They also acknowledged that their heroic act could have been committed by anyone.
