Bullying has long existed in schools, places where children should feel safe and protected. Many times, these organizations just overlook the situation and convince parents that something like that will never happen, which is obviously not the case. Other times, they will take action against bullying, but this will not help solve the situation.
The fact is that bullying can have long-term consequences for the victim, such as lowered self-esteem and an inability to socialize later in life after being subjected to such brutal behavior.
One parent stood up for his son, who the other students called “ugly” and “monster,” because he had Treacher Collins syndrome.

The illness made Jackson Bezzant’s hearing worse, and he is now essentially deaf. The disease also causes characteristic head and facial defects in which the cheekbones, jaws, palate, and mouth are underdeveloped.
Jackson had to have surgery to reconstruct his eye socket and is anticipated to have additional procedures in the future.
Despite being a caring and joyful child, he has been badly tormented at school. Random strangers frequently comment on the boy’s face while he’s out with his father, Dan, but Dan maintains his cool in such instances. The bullying at school, on the other hand, he couldn’t stand.

He found out one day that as his kid was eating lunch at school, some lads approached him and began calling him names. This agony persisted for a while until a teacher saw what was happening and intervened.
Dan’s heart was broken. He realized he had to act, so he decided to pour his heart out in a social media post, hoping that his comments would reach the parents of Jackson’s bullies.

According to People Magazine, Dan opened his post by saying, “My heart is in pieces right now, and my soul feels like it’s ripping from my chest.”
“This beautiful young man, my son Jackson, has to deal with a constant barrage of derogatory remarks and ignorance like I’ve never seen before.” On a regular basis, his classmates refer to him as “ugly,” “freak,” and “monster.” He talks about suicide, and he’s just 8 years old!
Dan said, “He claims he has no friends and that everyone despises him.” Kids hurl pebbles at him and shove him while yelling these awful comments. Please take a moment to imagine that this is your child. Spend a few minutes teaching your children about unique needs. Discuss compassion and love for our fellow men with them.
“Treacher Collins is the name given to his ailment. You could even search it up. He’s had harrowing surgery and will have numerous more in the coming years,” Dan stated.

He went on to say that he doesn’t blame the school or the instructors since they do everything they can to avoid bullying. However, he wishes for his parents to read his letter and learn something from it.
“I want my parents to see my post and feel my pain.” Please teach your children and make it clear that bullying is not acceptable. Please spread the word. “This should never happen to anyone,” Dan remarked.
The message rapidly went viral, and to Dan’s astonishment, other youngsters approached him and expressed their desire to be Jackson’s pals. Parents of two other children in the region with the same disease as Jackson contacted Dan, and the families are now planning a playdate.

We are very grateful that the community did not ignore this father’s request. We really hope that more parents will take the time to teach their children that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, deserves to be treated with dignity.
