When 19-year-old Colby Swift walked the stage on American Idol, something extraordinary occurred.

Colby had never taken vocal lessons or performed in front of a sizable crowd. He claimed that he had never even left Texas, where he was from. The judges, however, were astounded by his rendition of Freddy Fender’s “Before the Next Teardrop Falls.”

Luke Bryan, an Idol judge, had a unique bond with the budding young country singer. I don’t think a young person has ever entered here and been more like me at 19 before, he remarked. Bryan looked at Colby’s damaged sneakers, and then he posed an odd inquiry. He said, “What size shoe are you, Colby?”

When Byran handed the star-struck young cowboy his boots after removing them from his feet, the crowd was in disbelief. Check out the video below to see the touching moment!
