Some believe that restrictions on wearing narrow jeans, listening to heavy metal music, and viewing cartoons should come with getting older. If you are among the so-called minority who disagrees with the latter, you are aware that there is no upper age limit for achievement.
Bob Wood, an elderly man from Nashville, Tennessee, defied expectations to demonstrate to all of us that age is only a number and that it’s simply a period in life during which we gain wisdom and experience but are still free to be who we choose.

In a video, Bob picks up a guitar from British Audio Service in Nashville, and no, he isn’t buying it for his gifted punk-artist grandson. We can see right away that the man is not a rookie to the world of music as soon as he begins to pluck even a couple of the guitar strings.
Bob’s fingers move swiftly and flawlessly throughout the song he plays to produce one of the world’s most exquisite guitar solos. It’s a delight for us that this man was ready to perform this in public and even allow himself to be videotaped, garnering him over two million views as of right now.

When we travel back in time to the history of the guitar god, we discover that Bob published multiple albums and was a frequent performer at Jamboree USA in Wheeling, Virginia. The 81-year-old was even inducted into the Eastern States’ Music Company, Inc.’s “Entertainer of the Year” award in 2007 and earned a spot in the Southern Legends Country Music Hall of Fame.
Do you still believe that getting older renders one ‘lame’ and unfit for ‘cool’ activities? I didn’t believe that! If you ask me, Bob is a fairly amazing guy. The trending video below features his smoking in-store guitar performance. Your ears won’t regret it for a second.
