Johnnie Davis experienced a heartbreaking turn of events on her wedding day when her husband, Toraze, passed away shortly after exchanging vows. The tragic incident occurred on June 19, leaving Davis devastated as her husband was pronounced dead only one hour into their marriage.

Recalling the surreal experience, Davis shared that just moments after pledging their love to each other, Toraze was loaded into an ambulance and rushed to the hospital. The paramedics tried to resuscitate him, and Davis followed in another car. However, despite their efforts, Toraze suffered a cardiac arrest in the ambulance, and the doctors couldn’t save him.

The newlywed wife had to wait agonizingly for 40 minutes before being allowed into the hospital. The doctors explained that Toraze had a blood clot that had traveled to his heart, causing the massive cardiac arrest. Davis, who had lost her father to cancer a few months earlier, was devastated by the sudden loss.

During the ceremony, Toraze had complained of feeling unwell and having difficulty breathing. Davis attributed it to the heat and the full suit he was wearing, thinking he might be experiencing a panic attack.

Despite the tragedy, Davis found some comfort in the fact that they were able to exchange vows and pledge their love before Toraze’s untimely passing. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover funeral expenses for the Davis family.
