Johnny, the beloved star of the soap opera General Hospital, tragically died in Los Angeles on Saturday while protecting his coworker from armed carjackers.

Leaving a rooftop bar around 3:25 a.m. with his colleague, Johnny encountered three masked men near his car.

Initially thinking it was being towed, he approached, only to realize the situation when one of the men brandished a gun. Showing remarkable bravery, Johnny shielded his coworker and was fatally shot in the chest.
