Childhood, for the most majority of us, is a time filled with love and growth, during which we are guided by our parents and molded by the gentle hands of our caregivers.
It is unfortunate that this cannot be said for all individuals.
Despite the fact that I was too young to recognize how fortunate I was at the time, when I think back on my own childhood, I can now completely understand how fortunate I was despite the fact that I was unable to do so at the time.
This is because I can now see how fortunate I was.
The indisputable accuracy of such a remark is brought into sharper focus by accounts such as that of Ronnie, a Florida boy who was just seven years old at the time.
Kenyatta Barron, a lady, made an emergency call to 911 on March 18, 2018, pleading for assistance and stating that she feared for her life.
His father, Ronnie Oneal III, had just injured him in their residence in Riverview, which is located in Hillsborough County.

The same evening, he also murdered the boy’s mother and sibling before turning the gun on himself.
When Detective Mike Blair of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene, he did not know what to anticipate upon his arrival.
“By the time I arrived that night,” Blair said in an interview with WFLA, “we were notified that there was a kid being medevacked to Tampa General, but it was not thought that he would live.”
As an investigator with years of experience, Mike believed he had seen and done everything there was to see and do. It ended up turning out that he hadn’t.
Rather than the investigation itself, the primary reason for Detective Blair’s engagement in the case was the bond that he developed with little Ronnie after visiting the hospital together.
He remarked that the most straightforward way to understand this was that it was something that God had done for us.
During the time that Ronnie was convalescing in the hospital, Detective Blair was able to deliver to him certain goods that had been sent to him by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
When the two of them had become friends, Ronnie reached out and grabbed Mike’s hand one night as he was walking out the door.
As I turned to leave, he grabbed my hand and asked, “Could you watch a movie with me?” I didn’t really have the time, so I declined.
“We had a date arranged on that night, and I said to him, ‘Hey, instead of doing date night, do you mind if we watch a movie with this kid?'”
They postponed their date and instead went to the hospital together, despite the fact that Mike Blair and his wife, Danyel Blair, already had five children of their own.
Danyel responded by saying, “I had already known that, – even that night, I would want to take Ronnie home with us.”

In later years, Danyel came to the realization that the time had come.
I had already started praying to God that he would change Michael’s heart and show him that Ronnie belonged here with us at home.
In addition, Detective Blair’s other children readily concurred with this assessment.
“At one point during this period, my children approached me and said, ‘Dad, you simply need to go with Mom on this; we need to start fostering,'” he recalled. “Dad, you simply need to go with Mom on this; we need to start fostering.”
Ronnie, who is now 7 years old, has moved into his new forever home.
“They are just wonderful human beings. They are the best possible parents and always watch out for me in every way. He asserts that they are superior to everyone else.
According to Detective Blair, Ronnie has a habit of reciting the family creed whenever he is feeling anxious. “I am protected, I am cherished, and I am a member of this family,” she thought to herself.
During this challenging time, we are keeping Little Ronnie in our thoughts and prayers.
It is difficult to fathom the amount of bravery and strength that he must have needed in order to endure what he has been through.
