A cashier at Wal-Mart gives a stunning performance of a classic song by Dolly Parton and wakes up famous…

Because of reality singing competitions such as The Voice, American Idol, and the Got Talent series, we are accustomed to seeing talented vocalists succeed.

But, folks who do not actively seek popularity are also getting discovered. In this day and age of cellphones and the internet, all it typically takes for “the little guys” to feel like they’re in the spotlight is for a video of theirs to go viral on the internet.

Kayla Slone, who is 21 years old, is an employee at a Walmart in the city of Logan in the state of West Virginia. Not everyone was aware of her talent as a country singer at the time, but she has a great voice for the genre.

Slone has a passion for singing and had a lifelong dream of performing at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.

Yet, unlike many other people, she did not actively picture her goal materializing in her mind before it did.

When Slone was 15 years old, she and her brother apparently put together a “homemade album,” but nothing ever came of it.

Slone was in the midst of her shift when all of a sudden, while standing in line at the cash machine, she began to sing loudly and enthusiastically.

One of the customers decided to pull out their phone and video the cashier’s impromptu performance.

Slone, who possesses a fantastic country voice, sang “Coat of Many Colors,” a well-known song that was initially performed by Dolly Parton in 1971. Slone’s rendition of the song was released in 2011.

Slone can be seen in the video fiddling with a pen and wearing a name tag. As she gazes out the window, she sings the achingly sad lyrics in a voice that could only belong to an angel.

“Despite the fact that we had little money, I felt as wealthy as I could possibly be.”
In the multicolored coat that my mum made for me.”

Slone delivered a performance that was both unrehearsed and improvised, and there was neither a microphone nor any other sort of supplementary equipment present.

On the other hand, not even a short time after the film was uploaded to the internet, it swiftly gained widespread attention.

Customers started to identify the West Virginia cashier, who was married to a coal miner, and they started to ask her to sing in the store.

Slone also began participating in other interview programs, including one for ABC News.

She spoke about how shocked she was that her performance was such a tremendous hit during a recording at the Walmart where she worked.

In addition to that, she shared with the news station that one of her goals was to perform at the Grand Ole Opry.

Is it not incredible that her performance in the checkout line resulted in an invitation to play on the main stage of the Grand Ole Opry?
