Hollywood romances can refer to celebrities who have dated each other and come close to walking down the aisle.

Nicole Kidman, the star of A Family Affair, is currently blissfully married to musician Keith Urban, although she was formerly married to Mission Impossible actor Tom Cruise.

However, another of Kidman’s prior romances has resurfaced, with fans shocked to learn that she dated music star Lenny Kravitz.

Many speculated that Kidman and Kravitz were an item after Kidman’s divorce from Tom Cruise in 2003, but neither Kidman nor Kravitz acknowledged the connection.

However, in 2017, she revealed that she and Kravitz had dated and were even engaged at one time.

Speaking to Net-A-Porter’s The Edit about her close relationship with actress Zoe Kravitz, she said, “Well, I knew Zoe because I was engaged to her father.” It runs in the family!”

Kidman has previously hinted at a possible romance but stated that it failed because they ‘weren’t ready’.

In 2007, she told Vanity Fair, “I got engaged to someone, but it wasn’t right.” I wasn’t prepared. “We weren’t prepared.”

She went on to say that she strives for a ‘deep connection’ with her partners: “I get engaged and I get married—that’s my thing,” she explained. “I do not wish to date. “I’m looking for a very deep connection.”

Fans have taken to social media to express their surprise when they see Kidman and Kravitz together.

On Twitter, someone expressed their obsession with Nicole Kidman’s secret engagement to Lenny Kravitz, her close relationship with Zoe Kravitz, and her attendance at Zoe’s wedding for reasons unrelated to Big Little Lies.

Another said, “Now and then, I think about how these two human beings used to be engaged, and it always surprises me.” Nicole Kidman and Lenny Kravitz, what a time!”

“Lenny Kravitz dated Nicole Kidman. What?!?” inquired a third.

Another said, “I still can’t believe Lenny Kravitz dated Nicole Kidman. “So random.”

While the duo ended their affair, Kidman went on to date and marry singer Keith Urban in 2006, and the couple is still together today.

Kravitz’s love life has been reminiscent of the Hollywood elite, including relationships with Kylie Minogue, Vanessa Paradis, and Adrianna Lima.

Earlier this year, it was speculated that Kravitz was romantically linked to Ellie Goulding when the two were seen leaving an Oscars party together following her divorce from her husband, Caspar Jopling.
