A group of college students made a bold move by performing Bohemian Rhapsody, leaving the audience in complete awe. There were no instruments or flashy effects, just pure vocal power

Are there any Queen fans in the crowd? We now present a captivating rendition of their renowned rock opera, Bohemian Rhapsody, exclusively for your enjoyment! It even has air guitars! The UC Berkeley men’s octet a cappella ensemble performs the song!

It’s party time! Excellent! Berkeley actually has a very active a cappella scene! There’s a whole Facebook page dedicated to Berkeley a cappella live performances!

“Can’t attend Sproul concerts for a cappella groups due to class? Are you feeling unwell and struggling to get out of bed? Here’s the solution!” Berkeley A Cappella Live Streams The student body adores it! As of 2020, Berkeley has at least two significant a cappella groups. Berkeley’s a cappella groups are both descended and drawn to scale!

“Decadence? Decadence? DeKAWdence? DeCadence (“duh-KAY-dence”) is a student-run, co-ed a cappella group from UC Berkeley that enjoys bringing music and fun into your day. We sing indie, pop, jazz, and any other genre that comes our way, usually while wearing our distinctive gold capes.”

“[Drawn to Scale] is a co-ed a cappella group that formed at UC Berkeley in 2008. DtS is a varied collection of students that are kind, devoted, and talented, and they come together to share their love of performance and one another. They are constantly striving to maintain a high level of musicianship while bringing music to life in new and fascinating ways.”

This octet suggests that each member has a distinct role to fulfill. Knowing how to arrange all of these pieces requires in-depth music theory expertise.

These guys really outdid themselves on this show! Not only is it really enjoyable to listen to and quite skillful throughout, but they also had fun with it, making the entire song simply funny! Throughout the video, you can hear how ecstatic the audience becomes from laughing so hard!

The gang bursts during the song’s major breakdown, which Mike Myers famously headbanged to in his cult movie Wayne’s World!

The group has now been divided into a flurry of vocalists replicating the guitar solo, air guitarists having a fantastic time, and a Tom Waits-style vocalist who has a lot of fun with the pitch! That’s only one of many hilarious moments!

The gang appears to have a joke to give at each section of the song, all while demonstrating their abilities! And they look so vintage while delivering. They’re wearing their school colors and their finest semi-casual gear. The school uniform style lends to the sense that Berkeley has a long-standing a cappella tradition.

However, Bohemian Rhapsody was an excellent pick for modernizing a cappella competitions while remaining true to recognized classics that are (basically) objectively fantastic songs! After all, Bohemian Rhapsody is regarded as one of the greatest songs of all time! Indeed, Bohemian Rhapsody holds the #166 position on Rolling Stone’s top 500 list!

That’s really astounding given that it’s already a top-tier list! According to Forbes, Bohemian Rhapsody is also the world’s most streamed song! Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” is officially the world’s most-streamed music of the twentieth century.

“Not only that, but Universal Music Group (UMG) has revealed the iconic single by the British rock legends is also the most-streamed classic rock song of all time.”

So choosing this song was a pretty safe bet to ensure everyone enjoyed the performance! The challenging part would have been arranging the music and teaching the musicians how to play it!
