A man who lives alone. shares turkey with a barefoot boy, but the next year this happened…

A lonely father who spends every holiday alone shared his Thanksgiving turkey with a street-barefoot youngster. The next year, they celebrated Thanksgiving and all other holidays as a family.
Michael listened to his coworkers discuss their Thanksgiving plans the day before the holiday. Some of them were on their way home. Some planned to spend their holidays by the lake, while others planned to spend them in expensive hotels with their wives.

Meanwhile, Michael was never the kind to lavishly celebrate the holidays because he didn’t have a family of his own or a fiancée to spend time with.
If he thought anything was worth celebrating, he’d treat himself to a nice meal at a nice restaurant or a solo vacation to Vegas to let loose and relax.

He was going to spend Thanksgiving with his other single friend, but at the last minute, he announced that he had met a girl, and they decided to spend the holidays together.

On Thanksgiving, Michael looked at everything he had purchased to make supper and decided it was far too much for him to consume alone. Then it occurred to him to make a celebratory supper and donate it to a neighboring homeless shelter that he would regularly pass on his way home from work.

Michael spent the entire afternoon making some of his favorite Thanksgiving dishes. He cooked a turkey, apple pie, beef and mushroom casserole, and other dishes. “I should have done this years ago!” he thought to himself as he placed all of the food into foil containers to send to the shelter.
When he was finished, he proceeded to the shelter and welcomed everyone around the table to a hot lunch. “Wow!” remarked one of the shelter’s lads. “I’ve never had this kind of food before!” he said.

“Don’t worry, I’ll keep bringing you meals during the holidays,” Michael promised. “Go ahead and eat,” he instructed the crowd. Michael observed a lonely, barefoot youngster sitting in the far corner of the room as he was going to assist himself with some food.

Michael decided to arrange some turkey on a dish with other appetizers and approached the youngster to cheer him up. “Have a meal, young man,” he added as he handed over the platter.

With tears in his eyes, the kid glanced up at him. He hesitantly accepted the plate and thanked her. “My mom used to cook this food for me, but she’s now too busy to do so,” he explained.
“Where is your mom?” Michael inquired.

“She works all day to save money so we can buy a decent house.” “She picks me up late at night and drops me off here in the morning,” the youngster stated gently. Michael recognized himself in the youngster as soon as he said that.

Michael’s mother would also leave him with relatives to work when he was younger. She never returned, and when his aunt and uncle died, he no longer had a family to celebrate the holidays with.

Michael pledged to assist the youngster since he did not want the same thing to happen to him. He waited for the boy’s mother to return to the shelter before offering her a high-paying job with fewer hours.

“Would you really do that for me?” the lady questioned after being hired as Michael’s assistant.
“Of course. “I need a dedicated secretary,” Michael said. “Your son Damon said you work all day.” That alone demonstrates your dedication.”

Lindy, Michael’s mother, couldn’t help but cry. She expressed her gratitude to Michael and began working for him following the Thanksgiving holiday.

Michael is sitting at his table at home with Damon and Lindy a year later. He no longer had to spend the holidays alone, and he never had to have a meal alone again once he and Lindy fell in love and married.

“Prayers before meals?” Lindy gave him a kind grin before they began their Thanksgiving meal.
