Who doesn’t enjoy an old-fashioned lemonade stand?
Nothing beats stumbling across a youngster anxiously waiting to serve you a cup of ice-cold lemonade on a bright sunny day.
Landen, a small child, was selling lemonade and cookies near his home when he was contacted by a police officer. Their meeting was recorded and uploaded on Facebook by the boy’s grandma.
“Just saying we are so quick to point out how badly we are treated at times, but I have to say Officer J. Perez Ansonia PD blessed me.”

Officer Perez of the Ansonia Police Department in Connecticut spoke with Landen and asked him what he planned to do with the money he made selling lemonade.
Landen stated that he needed to purchase blue sneakers for school.
Officer Perez left once the two had finished their talk.

Officer Perez returned to the seven-year-old lemonade stand a short time later, this time with a gift for Landen: a pair of blue sneakers.
To say the least, Landen was overjoyed.

“He made my baby’s day yesterday, and not only that, but he made him feel like a king,” Wendelyn Narvaez said of Officer Perez.
Narvaez later posted a photo of Landen wearing his new footwear.

Police like Perez, according to Ansonia Police Chief Wayne Williams, “are the types of officers that we are all looking to hire.”
It is absolutely correct. We frequently hear about the negative things that police officers do, but seldom about the good. This was such a kind gesture.
