Callum Kerr, a Scottish actor, is coming out following the horrible murders of his mother and stepfather.
On Saturday, February 8, Callum, 30, posted a message on Instagram, speaking for various members of the couple’s family.
“At this time, Callum Kerr and Amanda Kerr are grieving the loss of their mother, Dawn Searle (née Smith, Kerr), while Tom Searle and Ella Searle are mourning the loss of their father, Andrew Searle,” according to a statement. “There are no family members available for media interviews or remarks. We respectfully beg that their privacy be maintained at this difficult time.

They added, “We will offer updates as needed.” Thank you for your understanding.”
On Friday, February 7, the BBC reported that British couple Andrew and Dawn Searle had been discovered dead at their house in France the day before. The source stated that authorities alerted them when the pair failed to show up for a scheduled dog walk with a neighbor.

Neighbors found Dawn naked outside her home with head injuries. Neighbors also reported finding parts of Dawn’s jewelry scattered around her body.
Callum, a country music performer best known for his roles in Virgin River and Monarch, escorted his mother down the aisle at her wedding to Andrew in 2023.

In September 2023, he posted a photo of the occasion on Instagram with the caption, “Not many individuals can claim they escorted their mother down the aisle. What a delight! I adore you, Mom. Congratulations to Dawn and Andy on their beautiful wedding day, and best wishes for a lovely life together 🥂.”
Andrew was a former fraud investigator, while Dawn had worked in project management. According to the British source The Scotsman, the couple had retired to France roughly ten years ago.
