Adam Lambert enters the arena and gives an enthusiastic performance paying tribute to the late Avicii

At the Avicii Tribute Concert, Adam Lambert donned a stunning pink suit and effortlessly sang the hit song “Lay Me Down,” a song he and the late Avicii co-wrote. Lambert paid tribute to Avicii’s legacy while getting the Friends Arena crowd in Stockholm up and dancing with his trademark funky flair and exuberant stage demeanor. The enthusiasm was palpable to the 55,000-strong crowd as Lambert effortlessly soared over high-pitched vocal runs, making the difficult song seem effortless.

Lambert, who is renowned for his ability to make any song better, didn’t simply sing “Lay Me Down”—he owned it. His amazing vocal skills and smooth, light tone enthralled people all over the world. Co-written by Lambert, Avicii, Nile Rodgers, and Arash Pournouri, the song was a groovy anthem that combined Rodgers’ recognizable guitar riffs with Avicii’s characteristic electronic sound.
