Alec and Hilaria Baldwin faced criticism after their seventh child was born

Expanding your family as a parent is always a heartwarming experience, especially when it’s with someone you love and share the same vision with.

Alec Baldwin tied the knot with his wife Hilaria in 2012, and since then, they have joyfully welcomed several additions to their family.

Their journey began when Alec met Hilaria in 2011, followed by their marriage the following year in 2012.

The couple wasted no time in starting their family, welcoming their first child in 2013. Over the years, they joyfully welcomed four more children before adding a sixth child via a surrogate.

In April 2021, they excitedly announced that they were expecting their seventh child together, much to the delight of their fans who celebrated the continued growth of their beautiful family.

Hilaria couldn’t contain her excitement as she shared the news of their daughter’s arrival on her Instagram account. Alongside a selection of pictures and videos, she captioned: “She’s here! We are so thrilled to introduce you to our little dream come true, Ilaria Catalina Irena.”

This latest addition marks Alec Baldwin’s eighth child overall, but his seventh child with Hilaria. His oldest daughter, Ireland Baldwin, is from his previous marriage to Kim Basinger.

Hilaria provided some details about their daughter in the Instagram post, revealing that she was born on September 22, 2022, weighing 6 lbs. and 13 ounces. She expressed their happiness and good health, adding that their other children were excitedly bonding with their new sibling.

In an official birth announcement via People Magazine, the couple expressed their gratitude for welcoming their newest daughter into the world, describing the experience as magical and filled with love.

While the Baldwins cherish their growing family, Hilaria recently addressed criticism they’ve received for its size. In a candid post, she shared her gratitude for the experience of motherhood and the varying emotions it entails.

Despite their happiness, not everyone congratulated the couple. Some individuals took issue with their newborn’s name, Ilaria Catalina Irena Baldwin, especially in light of past controversies surrounding Hilaria’s heritage.

The couple’s choice of unique names with Spanish origins raised eyebrows, given Hilaria’s alleged misrepresentation of her heritage. Some criticized the name as “fake Spanish,” while others defended it, noting that “Ilaria” is Italian for “Hilary” and has its own cultural significance.
