Joan Naydich claims she is still on unpaid leave, many months after being attacked.
Brendan Depa, a 270-pound student, savagely assaulted and beat Naydich unconscious in February.
Naydich had prevented the then-17-year-old from using his Nintendo Switch in class, prompting him to assault her.
Depa was filmed slamming Naydich to the ground and striking her in the back and head at Florida’s Matanzas High School.
The adolescent continued to kick her while being taken away from her.
Following the event, Depa was arrested and subsequently pleaded guilty to a first-degree felony charge of aggravated violence.
Judge Terrence Perkins will decide his sentencing at a hearing in January.
He faces up to 30 years in prison, which Naydich is alleged to prefer for the teen.
Naydich told Fox 35 about the physical and financial problems she’s been dealing with since the incident: “I was attacked on February 21st, and I feel like I’m just constantly being attacked.”

She went on to add that she is now a “completely different person” and that her life has been “turned upside down.”
“Unfortunately, a lot of my injuries that are not visible, I’m going to have for the rest of my life,” he said.
Concerning her money, Naydich informed the source that she has been battling to get her workers’ compensation issue addressed.
She returned to work in August with a different title, although she claimed to have been placed on unpaid leave a few days later.
Naydich claims she is now subsisting on the generosity of strangers while looking for another source of income.

Naydich’s pal put up the GoFundMe page.
“My name is Jessica, and I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Joan through our kids’ bowling team for Matanzas High School for the last six years!” she said on the website.
“On February 21, 2023, Joan was brutally attacked as she attempted to leave a classroom by a student.” I’m sure you’ve seen or heard about the video because it’s gone viral!
“Joan has two children!” Her son is a senior at Matanzas High School, while her daughter graduated in 2013.
“She has been working two jobs to support her family.” Her heart is big in all she does for others!”
Her acquaintance went on to describe Naydich as modest and ‘never begs for aid’.
The Flagler County School District was contacted for comment.
