As Prince Harry returns to the UK, King Charles bestows new title upon Prince William

The Prince of Wales has been bestowed with a new honorary title by King Charles III of England. This honor comes at a significant time as his second son, Prince Harry, prepares to visit the UK for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

This week has proven eventful for the British royal family, with recent reports indicating that King Charles III intends to appoint his eldest son, Prince William, as commander-in-chief of the air force. Buckingham Palace made this announcement, setting the official transfer date for May 13, to be held at the Army Aviation Center in Middle Wallop.

According to palace sources, the decision stems from a series of military appointments announced by King Charles III in August 2023, following his accession to the throne. Among these appointments is the designation of the Prince of Wales as the Commander-in-Chief of the Army Aviation Corps. Notably, this role was held by King Charles III himself for 31 years during his tenure as the Prince of Wales.
