On Bewitched, Erin Murphy played Tabitha, the supernatural daughter of Samantha Stephens and her human husband, Darrin Stephens. Erin Murphy went on to perform numerous more parts in other productions after her successful spell as tiny Tabitha.

However, after getting married, she chose to take a break from her job. The actress devoted her time and energy to raising her three spouses’ six children.

She is now a 59-year-old adoring grandma, and her granddaughter Sayler graduated from Junior High School while Murphy was present! She shared photos of herself hugging her granddaughter while clutching a flower. Fans adored this sight of Murphy as an adoring grandma and commented on how sweet it was.

“Awesome and lovely photo. Cute lol. Love hugs and kisses,” an admirer said in the comments section. Another person commented, “Congratulations! You both look adorable and amazing together.” Her granddaughter also has an uncanny likeness to her renowned grandma!

Some may be surprised to learn that Erin Murphy shared the role of Tabitha with her twin sister, Diane Murphy. However, after a few episodes, she began to perform the character on her own. She subsequently explained in an interview with Studio 10 in 2020 how it happened since she bore no resemblance to her sister.

“My sister and I are fraternal twins, and they were only auditioning twins for the part of Tabitha because twins can work more hours,” Erin explained later. “As soon as they hired us, they realized that we really don’t look that much alike.”

Aside from Bewitched, she appeared on an episode of Lassie in 1973 and in the 1979 film Deadly Fighters. She took a hiatus from acting after this part and focused on her personal life instead.

“I’ve been able to stay in business while saying no to a lot of things and occasionally doing things for fun.” I was approached for jobs immediately following Bewitched, but I declined. Instead of appearing on The Waltons, I attended Girl Scout camp. So I kind of stepped away from the company,” she revealed to Closer in 2020, years later. “I haven’t had an agent in years, despite the fact that I still do a few acting jobs each year.” I now do a lot of theater. I’ve done a number of webseries and pilots as favors for friends.”
