Blake Lively gives a heartfelt homage to her former Gossip Girl co-star Michelle Trachtenberg

Blake Lively offered a heartfelt homage to her former Gossip Girl co-star Michelle Trachtenberg, who died at the age of 39.

Trachtenberg, who also appeared in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Harriet the Spy, was discovered dead in her New York City residence shortly after 8 a.m. local time on Wednesday (February 26).

We are not investigating her death as suspicious, and the medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

“It is with great sadness that we confirm Michelle’s passing,” the actor’s publicist stated.

“The family begs privacy in light of their grief. There is no other information at this time.

Lively took to Instagram and captioned a snapshot of the couple, “Everything she did, she did 200 percent.

“She burst into laughter at someone’s joke, challenged authority when she sensed a problem, deeply cared for her work, and took pride in being a part of this community and industry, despite the occasional pain. She was fiercely loyal to her friends, brave for those she loved, and distinctly herself.

“Time passes.” You take for granted the opportunity to see an old acquaintance.

“To paraphrase, the true tragedies in life are the ones that surprise you on a lazy Tuesday.

“Hold those you love and have loved dear.”

The 37-year-old, who played Serena van der Woodsen from 2008 to 2012, said, “The world lost a deeply sensitive and good person in Michelle.”

“May her work and her huge heart be remembered by those who were lucky enough to experience her fire.”

Trachtenberg played Georgina Sparks, a young socialite from Manhattan’s Upper East Side, who caused mayhem throughout the performance.

Fellow Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick sent a tribute on social media yesterday (26 February): “So sad to hear of the passing of @michelletrachtenberg. Sending prayers.”

Her Buffy the Vampire Slayer co-stars also bid farewell to their “little sister.”

Trachtenberg was most recognized for her role as Dawn Summers, Sarah Michelle Gellar’s younger sister, in the television series Buffy.

Emma Caulfield, who played Anya Jenkins in the series, took to Instagram Stories to call Trachtenberg ‘Mish Mish.'”.

Caulfield commented, “I’m so sorry your bright light died so young.” Our Buffy family lost a little sister today.

“Rest in peace, my Mish Mish. “You were loved.”

Alyson Hannigan, who played Willow Rosenberg, stated, “I am extremely devastated by the news of Michelle’s loss.

She gave a warm spirit to the Buffy set. “My thoughts are with Michelle’s family and friends.”

Another co-star, David Boreanaz, commented, “So sad. “This is terrible news.”
