Boys on trampolines start freezing, then mother hears an unmistakable sound and understands why…

Tania Duenas Sweeney, a military parent stationed in Germany, wrote a touching story on Facebook that quickly went viral. Her kid and his friends were jumping on a trampoline when they abruptly came to a halt and stood at attention. She snapped a picture of the boys and explained why she did so on Facebook.

She claimed both the American and German national anthems play at 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, prompting everyone on the base to halt what they’re doing and show respect.

Sweeney appreciates that her children and the other youngsters on the base are learning the value of respect at such an early age. She went on to say that the boys are ingrained in the habit in a variety of ways.

The instructors at her son’s baseball practice encourage the kids to arrive early so that they may be there for the national anthem, and everything comes to a halt and all hats are removed as the song begins.

Sweeney believes that military children make significant sacrifices to support their military parents and that being on base, particularly in an overseas location, heightens their patriotism.

She is proud of every boy in that image because they did not do it because they were forced to; they did it because they sincerely love the United States.

She hopes that by sharing the photo, military children will receive some appreciation for their efforts, which they frequently do not receive.

Many people commended the children’s behavior and offered thanks to the soldiers and their families when the post went viral.

Overall, the experience demonstrated the necessity of instilling respect and patriotism in children at an early age, as well as the sacrifices made by military families.
