According to the eyewitness, Spears looked to be attempting to grab a picture with the first choice in the 2023 NBA draft.

The witness went on to claim that he observed Spears approach Wembanyama’s group—which included his security guard—while speaking in a British accent in an effort to grab Victor’s attention. “Pardon me, sir. Spears allegedly repeatedly said, “Excuse me, sir.”

The security officer for Victor apparently smacked Spears so hard that Britney’s sunglasses reportedly flew off as Spears reached out to touch Victor.

Britney Spears said, “This is f**king America,” while still speaking with a British accent, when Victor entered the restaurant.

According to TMZ, Spears has already been interrogated as part of the Metro PD’s investigation into the incident. According to a source who spoke to TMZ, the matter will be forwarded to the District Attorney because it is seen as a criminal inquiry.

The office of public information for the police informed Rolling Stone that on July 5, 2023, at around 11 p.m., LVMPD officers went to a residence in the 3700 block of Las Vegas Boulevard requesting a battery investigation. No one has been arrested or given a penalty, but the event has been reported to the police.
